Key Responsibilities:

• Pitch artwork and concepts to existing and new clients in the home decor sectors

• Proactively follow up pitches and manage communication with leads

• Request and log client feedback; report this back to the agency

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with buyers and brand contacts

• Collaborate with the agency to suggest improvements or trends to explore

• Represent the agency’s artists with professionalism and integrity

Essential Qualities:

• Prior experience in licensing, sales, or product development within the home decor or surface design markets

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence in cold or warm pitching and managing a client pipeline

• Organised and self-motivated with excellent follow-up habits

• Understanding of retail categories such as textiles, home accessories, wall art, and décor ranges

• Comfortable working to monthly KPIs and reporting outcomes clearly

Desirable Qualities:

• Background as a creative, designer, or art director in interiors or homeware (helpful, not essential)

• A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for helping artists succeed

• Basic understanding of licensing and royalty models

• Warm, professional communication style with an eye for detail

• Tiered commission structure based on value of agency commission earned

Commission Structure:

As a freelance Licensing Agent, you will earn a percentage of the agency’s commission (not the full project fee), tiered as follows:

• 35% on agency commissions for projects up to £4,999

• 45% on agency commissions for projects over £5,000

• +5% bonus on the first project from any new client you secure for the agency
