TALENT TAP 1 - OUR EXCLUSIVE TALENT SEARCH WORKSHOP

Talent Tap - Your Path to Representation!

Start date: Mon 10th March 2025 - Sorry, THE DOORS ARE NOW CLOSED!

Illustrate It Agency is on the lookout for fresh talent, and we’re inviting you to take part in Talent Tap, our exclusive talent search workshop!

Over 6 weeks, you’ll respond to a series of carefully crafted weekly creative briefs, producing a curated portfolio of brand-new artworks that align with the type of work we represent. Each brief is designed to help you build a commercially viable body of work, showcasing your unique style in ways that appeal to key markets.

But this is more than just a competition—it’s a guided opportunity to develop your portfolio. You’ll be challenged to push your creative limits while learning what makes an illustrator stand out in the licensing, publishing, and greetings industries.

At the end of the workshop, selected artists will have the opportunity to join our agency and get their work in front of top clients. We will be offering representation to at least 3 Artists participating in this Workshop. Your time to be discovered, gain representation, and unlock new career opportunities starts right here.

If you’re an unrepresented illustrator looking to break into the industry, this could be the moment you’ve been waiting for.

Are you ready to turn on the tap to new opportunities? Book this workshop now and take the first step toward your future as a represented artist!

FAQ’s

Don't worry, we got you. Here are some answers for your questions.

What is Talent Tap?

Talent Tap is our exclusive global talent search. It’s structured as a 6-week guided portfolio-building workshop, where illustrators respond to a series of creative briefs, with the chance to be represented by Illustrate It Agency.

Is my work good enough?

If you wish to judge if your work will be a good fit, please look at products already on shelves (eg, stationery, gift and home decor), and ask yourself if your work is at this standard. If it is, then we would love to hear from you!

Can I submit my portfolio to you without taking this workshop?

Absolutely! You can send us a direct submission by following the guidelines on our submissions page on our website. Please note - whilst our talent tap workshop is running, submissions from our participants are our top priority.

Is this a competition?

Not in the traditional sense. Talent Tap is a structured opportunity to build a market-ready portfolio while directly showcasing your work to our agency. Participants will have our full attention and responses to the weekly briefs go to our priority submissions mailbox!

Can I use existing work on this workshop?

No. All work must be created specifically for Talent Tap to ensure fairness and originality. Plus, we are going to tell you exactly what we are looking for!

Can I post work created on this workshop online?

Yes! We encourage the sharing of your progress (of your own work) on social media with our official hashtag. However, this is optional. You will get a new hashtag to use each week with the brief.

What if I miss a deadline?

To be considered for representation, you must complete and submit your response to all 6 of the creative briefs before the weekly deadline. Missing a deadline may impact your eligibility.

What happens if I’m selected?

If selected as one of our chosen Artists, you will be offered representation by Illustrate It Agency, where we’ll help you secure licensing, commissions, and publishing opportunities. For a full list of how we work with our Artists and what they get, please see our Artists page on our website.

Will I get feedback?

While we cannot guarantee individual feedback for every participant, we will provide feedback to all shortlisted Artists.

Unfortunately, we do not have time to provide reviews/feedback on your work before you enter our talent search - maybe we will offer portfolio reviews in the future though.

When does the workshop start?

The workshop starts on Monday 10th March 2025, and runs for 6 weeks. The doors are open for registration right now!
